NEC develops OLED panel beyond LED lighting
According to reports, NECLighting, a subsidiary of NEC's lighting business, has developed an OLED panel for lighting that can reach more than twice the brightness of current products under the same power consumption. According to reports, the current luminous efficiency limit of OLED panels for lighting is 60lm/w, while the current mainstream LED lighting luminous efficiency is 60- 100lm/w, while the luminous efficiency of OLED panel developed by NEC can reach 156lm/w. According to the report, the product developed by NEC is a 4-square panel with a side length of only 2mm- Expand the product size to mass production within 4 years (Side length) 10 cm, luminous efficiency should exceed LED lighting. The report pointed out that OLED lighting has the characteristics of making the whole ceiling/wall emit light or can be bent, and is regarded as the next generation lighting product, the big problem is that the manufacturing cost is too high and the luminous efficiency is not good.
