China's LED lighting industry has achieved rapid development in recent years, but it has entered a slow expansion in the consumption field of ordinary households. In response, officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China said that LED lighting is difficult to popularize to the public mainly because of price and other reasons, in the next year 35 years, the price of LED lighting products may drop to a level acceptable to the public. Ding Wenwu, director of the electronic information department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (10) Japan said at the high-efficiency lighting forum hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme that China's LED industry is currently growing in market size and developing better and better, and has been widely used in various occasions, in the future, indoor and home lighting will be the focus of development. Only when people use it can they be successful. Ding Wenwu said that the current reasons that hinder LED lighting products from entering household consumption are firstly cost problems, secondly quality problems and safety problems. With technological progress and quality improvement, the price of LED lighting products is expected to fall to a level acceptable to the public after year 35. In fact, there are already many products with the same price as energy-saving lamps. Ding Wenwu said that China is a large lighting producer, consumer and exporter. In 2013, China's lighting output value was close to 80 billion US dollars, with exports reaching 33 billion US dollars. However, most of the exported products are traditional products, so it is an inevitable choice to promote the transformation of China's lighting industry, and the good choice is LED, which is also an efficient energy-saving and consumption-reducing product. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the scale of China's LED industry has reached 260 billion yuan in 2013, exceeding 42 billion US dollars. It is expected to continue to maintain 20-this year and next- 30 growth, Ding Wenwu said, but must be significantly improved in product quality and safety.
