China semiconductor lighting/LED industry and application alliance and semiconductor lighting technology evaluation alliance jointly issued 4 LED lighting technology standards today, filling the gap in China's LED lamp standards, it is of great significance to standardize and guide the market development of LED lighting products and promote enterprises to participate in international competition. The four standards are respectively 'specification classification of non-directional Self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting', 'performance requirements of non-directional Self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting', 'safety requirements of double-ended LED lamps' and 'performance requirements of double-ended LED lamps'. Among them, 'specification classification of non-directional Self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting', as an important basic standard for semiconductor lighting industry, has been adopted by the International Electrotechnical Commission of the International Standards Organization. This classification standard is the first time in the world to use lumens to express lighting effects instead of traditional tiles. As a new concept for dividing LED lamp specifications, it can better reflect the characteristics and advantages of LED lamps such as high efficiency and energy saving. It is understood that the current lighting products on the market mainly include incandescent lamps, energy-saving lamps and LED lamps, among which LED lamps have advantages in energy saving and service life, and are developing towards intelligence. At present, China's high-efficiency lighting products such as LED lamps are going to the world, and the major obstacles are technical standards and quality certification. In April this year, the National Electric Light source quality supervision and inspection center (Beijing) Director Hua Shuming was elected chairman of the International Electrotechnical Commission advisory group and will directly participate in the formulation of international standards in related fields on behalf of China. National Electric Light source quality supervision and inspection center (Beijing) Zhang Wei, director of the semiconductor lighting Research Office, said that the selection of the specification classification standard and the election of the chairman of the advisory group not only affirmed the international competitiveness of China's lighting industry, it has also improved the participation and initiative of China's lighting industry in the revision of international standards. Zhang Shigang, representative of the United Nations Environment Programme in China, said that the United Nations Environment Programme highly recognized China's energy conservation and emission reduction work in the lighting field and chose to hold the first high-efficiency lighting Forum in Beijing in November this year, government agencies, industry associations, well-known enterprises and representatives of relevant international organizations from more than 80 countries will be invited to participate in the conference to formulate action plans, identify priority areas, and accelerate the popularization and application of efficient lighting products. According to reports, about 90% of energy-saving lighting products are produced in China, so the United Nations Environment Programme has set up an efficient lighting center in Beijing, which is one of the few technology centers in the United Nations in developing countries.
