How do street lamp manufacturers solve the heat dissipation problem of LED street lamps?

As LED street lights are widely used in road lighting, people are slowly discovering that LED street lights do not seem to be all advantages, but also have disadvantages. For example, its light decay problem. In fact, the main reason that affects LED street light decay is its poor heat dissipation performance. The internal LED chip emits a lot of heat, but its heat dissipation problem is gradually being improved by street lamp manufacturers. How do manufacturers solve the heat dissipation problem of LED street lights?

1. Rely on external radiators such as aluminum shells, cooling fans, etc. to reduce the internal temperature of the LED street lamp head, so as to achieve a relatively balanced environment inside, effectively dissipate internal heat, and improve overall heat dissipation performance. However, the aluminum shell is conductive and can only be used in relatively insulated environments.

2. Using thermal silica gel. This is the method adopted by most LED street lamp manufacturers today. Thermally conductive silica gel is a high-end thermally conductive compound and will not cure. It does not have electrical conductivity in this province, which can avoid the risk of short circuit. And it has high bonding performance and super heat conduction effect, which is currently the best way to solve the heat dissipation of LED street lamps.

3. The exterior of the LED street lamp head is sprayed with soft ceramic heat-dissipating paint. The heat-dissipating paint can be applied to heat-dissipating structures of various shapes, and can also be adjusted to various colors. It has a lot of dense heat-conducting particles, which can let the temperature evaporate in a large area, thereby reducing the temperature of the LED street lamp head.

The above three methods are common methods used by street lamp manufacturers to solve the heat dissipation of LED street lamps, not many. At present, the second method is the most used method, because the cost of thermal grease is not as high as the other two, which can effectively reduce LED street lamps. price. However, high-power LED street lights have a higher heat dissipation capacity and higher requirements for heat dissipation performance, which often requires a combination of three methods.
