Domestic LED competition intensifies in 2014, SMEs will be eliminated

In 2014, the competition in the domestic LED market will be further fierce. A large number of small enterprises with small scale and lack of competitiveness will be eliminated. In the fields of commercial lighting and agricultural lighting, the advantages of LED application will be reflected. LED driver chip products will become a new growth point in the industry. Driven by the rapid development of downstream applications such as semiconductor lighting, large and medium-sized LCD panel LED backlight and LED full-color display, China's LED industry has achieved rapid development. However, key words such as overcapacity, falling prices, and blocked access to the sea are still in the ear, and the survival of LED enterprises was once worried by investors. Looking forward to 2014, with the release of market demand for LED lighting terminals, the LED industry as a whole is expected to achieve further breakthroughs. In view of this, the electronic information industry institute of CCID think tank looks forward to the development situation of China's LED industry in 2014, and analyzes the development situation of the industry, the main problems needing attention and the main hot spots worthy of attention. CCID think tank put forward four basic judgments on the development situation of China's LED industry in 2014. First, relevant ministries and commissions will continue to promote the formulation and implementation of policies related to LED industry; Second, the competition in the domestic LED market will be further fierce. Through the way of survival of the fittest, a large number of small enterprises with small scale and lack of competitiveness will be eliminated; Third, the pace of technological innovation will still be the theme of industrial development; Fourth, in the fields of commercial lighting and agricultural lighting, the advantages of LED application will be reflected. Although on the whole, the development of China's LED industry in 2014 will continue the steady trend of the previous two years and continue to improve, there are still three problems to be paid attention to in the process of rapid industrial scale growth. First, the standard and testing system are not perfect, and the product quality is difficult to guarantee; Second, the crisis of structural overcapacity has not been effectively curbed; Third, the decline in profits caused by vicious competition is not conducive to the sustainable development of the industry. At the same time, Sadie think tank believes that there are three hot spots in the development of China's LED industry in 2014 that deserve attention. First, in the coming year, with the support of relevant national policies, LED lighting products will still be the focus of investment in various regions. Second, LED driver chip products will become a new growth point in the industry; Third, the popularity of smart lighting products in China will be further expanded.
