Road lighting has become a product field in which LED lighting products have entered early and formed large-scale applications. However, due to the immature LED technology in the early days, some of the installed LED street lamps were replaced due to the unsatisfactory use effect, which not only made LED street lamp enterprises suffer, it has also caused some negative effects on the promotion of LED energy-saving lighting products. In recent years, both LED light source and driving power supply have greatly improved the technology and product performance of enterprises, with the substantial adjustment of product prices and the further increase of local government support, road lighting has become a market segment with high penetration rate in China's LED lighting market. Since 2013, some products of LED road lighting have been officially listed in the government procurement list of energy-saving products jointly issued by the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission as priority procurement products, up to now, 322 models of LED road lighting products from 84 enterprises have been preferentially purchased by the government. With the continuous improvement of the technical level of LED lighting products and the continuous strengthening of the social awareness of energy conservation and emission reduction, the LED road lighting industry has ushered in a new opportunity for development.
