A number of domestic Internet of Things smart street light projects are gradually implemented

As a core component of smart city construction, smart street lights will play a greater 'complex' role, using urban street lights as the port of the Internet of Things, and making the construction of smart cities more realistic. At present, the construction of smart street lights has been carried out in many places in China. In October last year, the comprehensive utilization of road lighting poles project was the first to start a pilot project-a total of 15 new smart street lights were installed on Dagu Road. These common road lighting poles are equipped with WiFi free Internet access equipment; there is a 'call' button for convenience. Citizens talk to the monitoring platform or ask for help; electric vehicle 'charging piles'; can detect PM2.5; and have LED display screens... it integrates various functions such as smart lighting, video network monitoring, and emergency help.

In April this year, 10 smart street lights have been quietly erected in the Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. This is also the first smart street light project established in Jiangsu. This year, 2,000 smart street lights will take root in the development zone.

In Liaoning, a new type of smart street signs has appeared on the streets of Shenyang recently. Compared with traditional street signs, it is not only a direction sign for the streets and lanes of the city, but also provides maps, bus routes, government information inquiries, free WiFi, and even helps the police solve crimes.

From the first test of smart street lights last year to the implementation of smart street light projects in many places, the booming period of domestic smart street lights is about to come.
