What is the impact of LED street lights on the future development? Nowadays, governments around the world have advocated energy-saving renovation projects that replace traditional street lights with LED street lights, and advanced to the second and third tier cities, and then the intervention of 'smart lighting' strengthened the advantages of LED street lights. Make it possible to save energy -% on the original LED energy-saving technology, coupled with the help of EMC mode, accelerate the popularization of LED street lights. It is predicted that this year will be a period of global LED outdoor lighting replacement tide, and the number of global LED street lamp installations will double in the next year. Even so, its popularity has not been as expected, especially since this year's LED street lamp advancing speed is significantly lower than expected, and the growth rate has slowed down. Is it affected by objective factors such as the change of government and anti-corruption, or is it subject to subjective factors such as LED street lamp technology and market prices? The author interviewed Professor Liu Muqing from the Department of Light Source and Lighting Engineering of Fudan University to discuss the status quo of LED street lights and opportunities for future development. Non-standard LED street lights * the big bottleneck At present, road lighting is still dominated by high-pressure sodium lamps, and LED street lights have not really replaced it. In this regard, Liu Muqing said that from a technical point of view, LEDs are better than high-pressure sodium lamps. For example, the light efficiency of the whole lamp can reach lm/W or more. Ballasts can only reach -lm/W at most. The luminous efficiency of LEDs has significantly exceeded that of high-pressure sodium lamps, and from the perspective of price and cost, LEDs are not much higher than high-pressure sodium lamps. Although from a technical perspective and market price point of view, LED street lamps are not inferior to high-pressure sodium lamps, but its popularization still needs a process. Specifically, it can be described from the following three aspects: 1. The luminous efficiency of LED street lamps is higher than that of high-pressure sodium lamps, which is only for technical reasons. In the market, the LED industry is currently in the early stages of development, and there are more poor companies than good ones. This part of the 'poor students' will cause the market to misunderstand LED street lights: 'LED street lights are not good.' Therefore, how to make people recognize and accept the quality of LED street lights still needs a process; Second, as the LED era continues to accelerate development, companies gradually realize the importance of product quality and continue to develop toward high quality. The quality of the overall market circulation products will Improve; Third, the issue of standardization. The traditional high-pressure sodium lamp, in simple terms, is composed of three parts: a bulb, a ballast and a lamp housing. The bulb is the most easily broken part, and its life span is about one year. Even if it is broken, it is very convenient to replace. Because it is a standardized product, it can be replaced by any manufacturer's bulb. On the other hand, LED street lights have different product specifications from different manufacturers. The same manufacturer needs to be returned for later replacement or maintenance of products. Indirectly, LED street lights have become a monopoly-bound product by enterprises. The irregularity of products is the biggest bottleneck in the way of LED street lights, and the establishment of standardized standards has become an urgent need for industrial development. If LED street lights solve the above problems, then high-pressure sodium street lights can fade out of the market. In theory, the promotion of LED on roads should be faster than indoor lighting, but due to the inertia of road lighting in the market, and the above standardization issues, its popularization effect has not been as expected. 'But I believe that there are **, street lights will be the spring of LED.' Liu Muqing expressed to the author his hopes for LED street lights.
