Popularize LED lighting in public areas by the end of 2014

Shantou city, Guangdong province, will popularize LED lighting in public areas by the end of next year, including urban roads, public places, government agencies, state-owned enterprises and institutions and other areas of lighting projects invested and constructed by finance or state-owned capital.
For newly-built lighting projects in the above fields, lighting products such as LED street lamps, courtyard lamps and landscape lamps shall be adopted;
The original non-LED lighting products will be completed in batches by the end of 2014.
This is a practical move for the city to speed up the development of people's livelihood science and technology and promote the application of energy-saving and environmental protection technologies.
