Taking the lead, the merger and acquisition fund supported by Chinese and foreign consortia such as Asia-Pacific Resources Development and Investment Co. , Ltd. and Nanchang Industrial Holding Group Co. , Ltd. recently announced the successful acquisition of Lumileds80.

Philips Lumileds currently includes the LED and automotive lighting division. The transaction is worth about $3. 3 billion (Equivalent to RMB 204. RMB 6. 7 billion)
It is expected to be completed after obtaining regulatory approval and other trading conditions in third quarter of 2015.
After the transaction, the new company will retain its original name Lumileds.
The new company will be led by the current CEO of lumiledabled Pierre-
YvesLesaicherre is in charge.
Philips will remain an important customer of Lumileds and will continue to maintain a cooperative relationship with Lumileds in research and development and supply.
The deal also includes Philips transferring more than 600 patents on LED production and automotive lighting to Lumileds.
Wu Shenjun, chairman of GOScaleCapital and co-founder and managing director of Jinsha River venture capital, will be the interim president of Lumileds After the acquisition.
The investment institutions involved in the transaction include: Asia Pacific Resources Development and Investment Co. , Ltd. , Nanchang Industrial Holding Group Co. , Ltd. and Jinshajiang venture capital fund and other Chinese and foreign consortia.
