However, some solar street lights turn on during the day, which not only wastes energy but also cannot work normally at night. So what causes solar street lights to be bright during the day?

1. Solar panels convert sunlight energy into electrical energy, the stronger the light, the weaker the light, the lower the output light. The output voltage of the battery panel can be used as a basis to turn on the street light when the voltage is lower than a certain level and turn off the street light when the voltage is higher than a certain level.

2. Object Covering If the solar panel is covered, it will also cause the solar street light not to be used normally, covered by heavy snow, and covered by dust. When these covers cover the solar panel, the output voltage of the solar panel will be lower than a certain value, and the solar street light will be triggered to light up.

3. The solar street light controller displays the Undervoltage state, and the light does not light up after dark, but the battery voltage has exceeded the Undervoltage value, indicating that the battery has electricity. After the battery drops to this voltage point, the controller turns off the power supply and stops discharging, mainly to protect the battery from being over-discharged and affecting the subsequent use of the entire equipment. The charging voltage will only continue to discharge when it is charged to 24V (the default value of the controller). The main purpose of this setting is to prevent the battery from being damaged by deep discharge for a long time. In the case of battery under voltage, if the solar street light controller is not restarted, the voltage between 22.2 volts and 24 volts belongs to the Undervoltage state. Only when the solar street light battery voltage is charged above 24 volts will it continue to discharge.

4. The photoresistor is particularly sensitive to light. When the light intensity is weak, the resistance is large. As the light becomes stronger, the resistance value decreases. A balance point can be found by sliding the varistor. When the light is strong, the photoresistor value is small. The use of photoresistors has certain disadvantages. Photoresistors have relatively high installation requirements and are prone to miss-control on rainy and cloudy days.
